Genevieve Griffin Faulk, LCSW,

Geriatric Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Genevieve Faulk is
the lead care manager for Bayshore Geriatric Solutions. In
pursuing her interest in improving the quality of life for
older adults and their families, she has gained experience and
education in the field of aging. Genevieve is a Care Manager
Certified (CMC) with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and
a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of
Georgia. She
has earned a graduate Certification in Gerontology from the
Gerontology Center at the University of Georgia and a graduate
Certification in Geriatric Care Management through the
University of Florida.
She also has recently become
a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).
Genevieve is
also a current member of the following organizations:
National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
(GCM), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), American
Society on Aging (ASA), and the Florida Health Care Social
Workers Association (FHCSWA)."
In addition to her
education, Genevieve’s experiences in the field of aging have
been very diverse. They included the following: nursing homes,
hospital based geriatric case management programs, community
councils on aging, grant proposals for aging issues, ombudsman
programs and abuse investigations, Alzheimer’s adult day care
programs, home based services, and caregiver support groups.
Education,
experience, compassion and sincere care for the elderly and
aging issues enable Genevieve to establish a trusting and
respectful relationship with both the older adult and their
family members, as well as other professionals in the aging
field.

Katie Colwell Williams, MA, CMC
Geriatric Care Manager
& Daily Money Manager
Katie
Colwell Williams is a full time Care Manager Certified (CMC)
with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, who serves our clients
located in both Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Prior
to working with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Katie graduated
Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Sociology and a minor, as well as, a Certification
in Gerontology. Katie also served as a research assistant at
the University of Florida during a pain study, which examined
behavioral pain indicators of cognitively impaired older
adults. Katie completed an extensive amount of volunteer work
in assisted living facilities in Gainesville while completing
her undergraduate degree. It was through her volunteer work
that Katie discovered her passion for working with older
adults. Thus, Katie went on to receive her Master’s in
Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Her
graduate focus was in the area of Case Management. Following
her Master’s degree, Katie worked with the West Central
Florida Area Agency on Aging as a Medicaid Waiver Specialist.
This experience allowed Katie not only to learn about the many
of the resources available to older adults in the Tampa Bay
Area, but helped her to gain expertise of the Medicaid Waiver
Program, as well as, extensive knowledge of the participating
facilities throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Katie is a
very compassionate, caring and dedicated care manager. She
gives her all in everything she does, which allows her to not
only gain the trust and faith of our clients, but their family
members as well. Katie strives to make certain that all her
clients have the best quality of life possible.
Katie
Downs, BSW, CMC
Geriatric
Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Katie
Downs is a full time Care Manager Certified (CMC) with Bayshore Geriatric
Solutions,
who serves
clients
located in both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Katie has
a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Bloomsburg University
located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. After attaining her
degree, Katie worked in a Partial-Hospitalization program as a
counselor for Northeast Counseling Services located in
Hazleton, Pennsylvania. There Katie acquired an abundance of
awareness and knowledge in working with clients who had an
array of mental health concerns.
It
was a few years into that profession when Katie soon realized
her strong desire to advocate for and work with older adults.
Katie accepted a position as an Aging Care Manager with the
Columbia-Montour Area Agency on Aging in Bloomsburg,
Pennsylvania. There Katie worked one on one with older adults,
their families, doctors, short and long term care facilities,
and an array of other professionals. Katie also worked as an
Ombudsman for local independent and assisted living
facilities, as well as, short and long term care nursing
facilities. Katie strived for, was dedicated to, and enforced
that the older adult's dignity, respect, quality of life and
care remained upheld to the utmost. Katie also served as an
on-call protective services worker who handled emergencies for
older adults 60 years of age and older.
Katie has a true adoration and devotion for working with older
adults. Katie is a strong advocate for the dignity, respect,
quality of life and care of each individual older adult she
comes into contact with.
Lelanya
Taber, MSW
Geriatric Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Lelanya
Taber is a full time care manager with Bayshore Geriatric
Solutions. Lelanya graduated Suma Cum Laude with her Master’s
degree in Social Work from Florida State University. She is
currently working towards becoming a Care Manager Certified
(CMC).
After completing her
Bachelor’s degree, Lelanya worked for the Department of
Children and Families specializing in the Aging and Disabled
population for two and a half years. She determined benefit
eligibility for her clients and directed them to appropriate
resources in the community. After her time at the Department
of Children and Families, Lelanya began working as an Outreach
Social Worker for Elder Services of Okaloosa County. Her
responsibilities in this position included home visits and
assessing the needs of the elderly. After the assessment
process, Lelanya would link the client with resources to meet
their needs in that community. Her goal was to keep the
clients safe in their homes as long as possible. This
experience was both challenging and fulfilling for Lelanya. It
was at this point, Lelanya realized how much she loved working
with older adults and solidified her desire to improve the
lives of older adults. Thus, she decided to attend graduate
school to obtain her M.S.W. and receive the appropriate
training in order to better serve the aging population.
While in graduate school,
Lelanya was awarded the Robert P. Hurrle Scholarship for
demonstrating commitment to the Field of Aging. Lelanya was
also chosen to participate in the Live Oak Geriatric Practicum
Partnership Program, a specialized internship funded by the
New York Academy of Medicine. During this internship program,
Lelanya gained professional experience working at a
rehabilitation hospital, as well as, a geriatric care
management company. During her two years at graduate school
she also worked part time at an Assisted Living Facility.
Lelanya is currently a member
of the National Association of the Social Workers (NASW) and
is also a member of the Florida Council on Aging (FLCO).
Lelanya has a true passion for working
with older adults. She strives to see that every elder adult
gets treated with dignity and respect and works to ensure that
older adults achieve the best quality of life possible.
