Genevieve Griffin Faulk, LCSW, MSW, CMC, C-ASWCM, CSA
Geriatric Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Genevieve Faulk is the President & lead care manager for Bayshore Geriatric Solutions. In pursuing her interest in improving the quality of life for older adults and their families, she has gained experience and education in the field of aging.
Genevieve is a Care Manager Certified (CMC) with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Georgia. She has earned a graduate Certification in Gerontology from the Gerontology Center at the University of Georgia and a Certification in Geriatric Care Management through the University of Florida. Genevieve also is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and is a current member of the following organizations: National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM), Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association (FGCMA), National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Florida Health Care Social Workers Association (FHCSWA), American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM), and Society of Certified Senior Advisors (CSA).
In addition to her education, Genevieve’s experiences in the field of aging have been very diverse. They include the following: nursing homes, hospital based geriatric case management programs, community councils on aging, grant proposals for aging issues, ombudsman programs and abuse investigations, Alzheimer’s adult day care programs, home based services, and caregiver support groups.
Education, experience, compassion and sincere care for the elderly and aging issues enable Genevieve to establish a trusting and respectful relationship with the older adult and their family members, as well as, other professionals in the aging field.
Genevieve manages and oversees all care management cases with her primary goal being to provide the best quality of care to clients of Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Inc.
Katie Colwell Williams, MA, CMC
Geriatric Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Katie Colwell Williams is a full time Care Manager Certified (CMC) with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, who serves our clients located in both Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Prior to working with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Katie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor, as well as, a Certification in Gerontology. Katie also served as a research assistant at the University of Florida during a pain study, which examined behavioral pain indicators of cognitively impaired older adults.
Katie completed an extensive amount of volunteer work in assisted living facilities in Gainesville while completing her undergraduate degree. It was through her volunteer work that Katie discovered her passion for working with older adults. Thus, Katie went on to receive her Master’s in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Her graduate focus was in the area of Case Management. Following her Master’s degree, Katie worked with the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging as a Medicaid Waiver Specialist. This experience allowed Katie not only to learn about the many of the resources available to older adults in the Tampa Bay Area, but helped her to gain expertise of the Medicaid Waiver Program, as well as, extensive knowledge of the participating facilities throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Katie is a very compassionate, caring and dedicated care manager. She gives her all in everything she does, which allows her to not only gain the trust and faith of our clients, but their family members as well. Katie strives to make certain that all her clients have the best quality of life possible.
Lelanya Taber, MSW
Geriatric Care Manager & Daily Money Manager
Lelanya Taber is a full time care manager with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions. Lelanya graduated Suma Cum Laude with her Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University. She is currently working towards becoming a Care Manager Certified (CMC).
After completing her Bachelor’s degree, Lelanya worked for the Department of Children and Families specializing in the Aging and Disabled population for two and a half years. She determined benefit eligibility for her clients and directed them to appropriate resources in the community. After her time at the Department of Children and Families, Lelanya began working as an Outreach Social Worker for Elder Services of Okaloosa County. Her responsibilities in this position included home visits and assessing the needs of the elderly. After the assessment process, Lelanya would link the client with resources to meet their needs in that community. Her goal was to keep the clients safe in their homes as long as possible. This experience was both challenging and fulfilling for Lelanya. It was at this point, Lelanya realized how much she loved working with older adults and solidified her desire to improve the lives of older adults. Thus, she decided to attend graduate school to obtain her M.S.W. and receive the appropriate training in order to better serve the aging population.
While in graduate school, Lelanya was awarded the Robert P. Hurrle Scholarship for demonstrating commitment to the Field of Aging. Lelanya was also chosen to participate in the Live Oak Geriatric Practicum Partnership Program, a specialized internship funded by the New York Academy of Medicine. During this internship program, Lelanya gained professional experience working at a rehabilitation hospital, as well as, a geriatric care management company. During her two years at graduate school she also worked part time at an Assisted Living Facility.
Lelanya is currently a member of the National Association of the Social Workers (NASW) and is also a member of the Florida Council on Aging (FLCO).
Lelanya has a true passion for working with older adults. She strives to see that every elder adult gets treated with dignity and respect and works to ensure that older adults achieve the best quality of life possible.
Amy Brand, MSW
Geriatric Care Manager
Amy Brand is a geriatric care manager with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Inc who serves both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Amy graduated with her Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. While working towards her undergraduate degree in Social Work, Amy completed a professional internship with the Johnnie B. Byrd Alzheimer’s Center and Research Institute. While there, Amy specialized in administering memory screenings and assisting in the outreach/advocacy role for Alzheimer’s disease education and research.
Amy was able to develop an abundance of knowledge including the numerous resources and services available for older adults living in the Tampa Bay area. As Amy’s passion for working with the elderly population grew, Amy decided to expand her education to work more closely with elderly individuals and their families. Amy later graduated from the University of South Florida with her Master’s in Social Work. While obtaining her master’s degree, Amy completed a three semester master’s level internship with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, Inc.
Amy is, in every respect, committed to working with the older adult and disabled populations. Amy is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a member of the National Social Work Honor Society, Phi Alpha/Delta Sigma chapter. Amy is currently working towards licensure as a clinical social worker.
Vanessa Pydeski, MSW, LCSW
Geriatric Care Manager
Vanessa Pydeski is a full time geriatric care manager with Bayshore Geriatric Solutions, who serves clients located in both Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
Vanessa graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Polytechnic and State University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a Concentration in Human Services. Vanessa’s geriatric experience began during her field practicum at Virginia Tech Adult Day Services. Vanessa found her passion while providing Reminiscence Therapy, Intergenerational Programming, Dementia Care Programming, and Horticultural Therapy with seniors. Vanessa worked as an undergraduate Research Assistant, studying the effects of therapeutic programming on engagement and affect in older adults with dementia. Vanessa was honored with the Undergraduate Research Award by The Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence at Virginia Tech..
Vanessa also graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Florida. Vanessa earned a graduate Certification in Geriatric Social Work/Clinical Gerontology through the School of Aging Studies at the University of South Florida. Following her Master’s degree, Vanessa worked as a Hospice Social Worker. During time spent at Hospice, Vanessa provided palliative support to terminally ill patients and their families. In addition, Vanessa performed crisis interventions, risk assessments, and facilitated Caregiver Support Groups. Vanessa then worked as a Social Worker in Medicare homecare. While working in homecare, Vanessa facilitated case management and community resources for homebound patients, including those with chronic and acute mental illnesses. Her previous social work positions provided experiences with long care placement, advocacy, individual and family counseling. Vanessa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and currently is an active member of National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Vanessa maintains high levels of sensitivity and communication with her clients. Vanessa strives to provide consistent care and support to older adults. Vanessa possesses the essential qualities of both patience and compassion that have allowed her to become someone clients and families can trust and rely upon.
Marci Sadorf, RN, CMC
Marci Sadorf, a Registered Nurse since 1976, has over seventeen years experience in the home health care field. Prior to entering the home care arena, Marci gained extensive clinical experience in the hospital setting. Marci has seen the importance of integrating home care with additional community services to meet the client's needs. She is a recognized expert in the home care field and a valued educator throughout the Tampa Bay area and United States.
Marci is currently a Care Manager Certified, an active member of the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging Better Living for Seniors, a member of the Pinellas County Guardian Association, and member of the Financial Planning Association of Tampa Bay. In 2005, Marci was recognized by the Square Care Awards as “The Most Caring Nurse”.
Teresa W Jackson, MAG, CMC
Teresa Jackson, a native of North Carolina, moved to the Tampa area with her husband and two young boys. Teresa graduated from Appalachian State University, in Boone, North Carolina with her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a concentration in Gerontology. She then returned to ASU and received her Master’s degree in Gerontology with a concentration in Counseling.
Teresa has worked with older adults, in various capacities, for many years. While in college she worked in a nursing home as a nursing assistant, moving up to activities and admissions. She worked with the Area Agency on Aging in North Carolina before moving to England and working with the National charity Age Concern.
Upon returning to the States and moving to Florida, Teresa began working as geriatric care manager, providing assistance to older adults and their families with issues related to aging and elder care. Now, as a certified care manager, she continues to assist older adults and their families.
Teresa is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. She is the Vice President of the Pasco Aging Network and a member of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. Advisory Council. Teresa is certified through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.
Sue Rivera, Office Manager
Before joining Bayshore Geriatric Solutions in the beginning of 2009, Sue had worked many years behind the scenes with the geriatric population. As a young woman, she worked in the x-ray department of a geriatric hospital for several years where she found her true compassion for seniors. Sue then had some college training in a physical therapy assistant program and medical terminology transcription; however she found her place in the business office. Since moving to the Tampa area 9 years ago, Sue has had the privilege of working in 2 reputable Assisted Living Facilities as a Business Office Director and an Activity Director. Sue believes that
"we have a true treasure in our seniors and if we can show them how special they are then we are doing our job to the best of our ability".
